Default Email lost and Security doesn't respond

My Yahoo email account has not been available since March 2 when I tried to access it with my usual password and ID that I’ve had for 10+ years. When I input personal information for a new password, Yahoo doesn’t recognize it. Yahoo Customer Service (408-349-1572) suggested I contact Yahoo Security (email only) at account-security-help@cc.yahoo-inc.com. I did on March 5 with no response from Security since my response to their auto email response. I have sent at least 10 follow up emails and personal phone number to Security with no response. I have called Yahoo Customer Service about 10 times, but they aren't able to contact Yahoo Security either. They indicate the alternate email address I provide is not correct. I could have forgotten since 10+ years ago. There must be a way to resolve this most frustrating situation. Can you help reactivate my email account please? Respond to "cindakk@yahoo.com". Many thanks for any help. This is most frustrating.

Hi mriley21,
Sorry for the late reply. Actually YahooFanClub is going under a complete reworking. So, i have been busy with the Admins helping out. Did you tried to ask for use the security question thing. Alternate mail address is not the only thing.

Security question and Brith date is also as important aspect of your account. As it is your own account I am sure you do remember your birth date and security question. Call up Yahoo Customercare helpline and provide them with your brith date and security question then ask them for checking out your birth date and security question. This can be a helpful step in solving out your problem.

Many thanks for your reply. I have provided Yahoo support with the information that you mentioned, but they indicate an inability to access my account or help with a new password. I am frustrated that Yahoo support or I cannot review the situation with Yahoo Security except thru emails, which they haven't responded to. I asked them to call me to discuss, but there is nothing. Yahoo's approach to supporting this situation is most unacceptable. Thanks again.

Yes this is really frustating situation. I can understand it well coz I lost an account longtime back. But the main problem is providing with the fact of your account. here is a thread about a hacked account,

http://www.yahoofanclub.com/viewtopic.php?t=975

Yahoo provided rojoloco1982 with the account access again by verifying the account info. Also here is post from the above thread. If you wish you can try using Yahoo Express Helpline. The number is provided below plus if they dont provide you with any good help then you can have a refund as well. And I believe nothing goes in trying it out.

Here is something I found online:

Quote:
How to get your id
back if it's been hacked.

1) You will need your b-day, zip code, alt email, secret question
that you made the id with.
(doesn't matter if it was changed)
2) Now Call (40 349-3300 - Get to customer service.
Let them know your yahoo name was hacked or something.
Tell them your original info you used to make the id.

If you cant use long distance then email
Code:
my-login-support@yahoo-inc.com

with all your info that you can possibly send them
and wait for response then email back with info again.
3) If they say your info is wrong but you know that it is
right then argue with them and tell them to look at
the original info of the id.
4) If they still refuse then ask to speak to a supervisor.
- Because they can see more info on their computers.
5) Tell the supervisor to look at the original info on the id,
that it was made with and know some of the following.

Some tips are.

1)-know names on your friends list
2)-know email messages if any
3)-know your service provider
4)-know what Y! groups you were associated with
5)-know when id was made
6)know when name was taken or lost or whatever approximately

Just remember to be nice and let them know that you have
personal e-mail's from people that you have'nt been able to
notify that your e-mail address from yahoo has been hacked.
And that you would rather use your yahoo e-mail account
because you like it best
I hope it helps you.
